21st Green & Complete Street

PASO ROBLES, CA

21st Street is a commercial and residential street near the Paso Robles Event Center, home of the California Mid-State Fair. The street, one

of four railroad crossings in town, was established decades ago in a natural drainageway. Frequent flooding, limited pedestrian access, and speeding traffic contributed to unsafe conditions and underutilized spaces. Working for the city and the Central Coast Water Board, MxM team members worked with the civil engineering team to prepare a concept plan and vision for five contiguous blocks of 21st Street, between Vine Street and Riverside Avenue, transforming them into a green, complete street..
