Located at the north end of SeaTac in a historically underserved neighborhood, just off of the flight path of the nearby airport, and adjacent to several major transportation corridors, Riverton Heights Park serves as a neighborhood hub for a diverse and thriving community. The City of SeaTac invited MxM to help add a magnetic spray park to this site as a piece of recreational, social, and health infrastructure.

Our first step was to conduct a “master plan”-lite to understand how the spraypark might fit into a more thorough, comprehensive vision for the site. Our outreach process met people where they are. MxM used “MadLibs”-style forms and artificial intelligence to help residents imagine what the park could be in the future.

With the location of the spray park determined, we are currently advancing through the design and permitting process to deliver a well-crafted and durable landscape amenity to the residents of the Riverton Heights neighborhood.
