Nestled into one of Lynnwood’s most diverse neighborhoods and located along the Interurban Trail corridor, South Lynnwood Park had not been renovated since it was first built in the mid-1970s. Nearly half a century later, Brice led a multi-disciplinary team to update and retrofit the park for today’s users and uses. In addition to protecting the parks’ seasonal stream, the revised design greatly expands the recreational offerings for visitors including a new inclusive nature-themed play area tucked amongst mature conifers, new accessible pathways, picnic tables and grills, as well as new multi-sport courts, basketball, pickleball, and tennis courts. The park renovation also rehabilitated the restrooms to bring them into current ADA and electrical code compliance.
